Emotional Summer 2018

Energy is shifting, moving & regenerating
Over the next few weeks, some of you may be feeling deeply emotional without there being a valid reason why. You might have emotional days in which you simply can't put a finger on what is bothering you. Just allow those emotions to be ~ don’t try to change or resist them.

Cosmos is Infinite
Practice being with the myriad of emotions that are plaguing you. There are major shifts in Energy happening that are not so subtle at this time. We simply need to allow them to be, navigate through them and move forward. Besides the fact that six planets are in retrograde this Summer, we are moving more deeply into the Ascension process, collectively and individually. If past situations and/or emotions of things that you thought you'd worked through already come up this summer, surrender to them. This is going to be the Summer of Reflection for many of us on Mother Earth.  Allow your emotions to come up without resistance and simply move through them ~ the process is timely and necessary to move into the next phase of Ascension of your own individual Higher Self.

Self-care is paramount during this time no matter what it is or how you go about it. Spend time alone at the sea or in the forest or in the mountains. Meditate and bring more Light into and around your physical body. Send your glowing, pink Heart Light to your loved ones and imagine them being bathed in the Unconditional Love of its glow. This is the Summer of Self-Reflection and Introspection and it's going to be Life changing for many of us on our Journey.

Please feel free to comment on any of my posts, ask me questions or share your own experiences, strengths, hopes or dreams with us in the comments section. I'd love to hear from any of you

With Much Love, Peace & Many Blessings

The Intricate Presence of Reiki

THIS ARTICLE WAS FIRST PUBLISHED HERE

Reiki Energy is a refuge for many practitioners

Reiki Energy: A Spiritual Tool

By now, we may all be able (or willing) to agree that Reiki is a form of energy work that is described by practitioners and clients alike as healing, soothing, gentle, intelligently designed and, let’s face it, amazing! Every single day I strive to think about, meditate on or practice Reiki in my daily Life. I fall short often, but on the days that I feel spot on energetically, everything else falls into place nicely. Synchronicity. I love when it happens!

When I’m on my game, not only do benefit, but everyone around me benefits, as well.  Those are the days I’m more aware of Presence. I often wonder how many Reiki practitioners over the years have achieved enlightenment or reached higher conscious through utilizing Reiki as part of their spiritual practice

When I was initially introduced to Reiki Energy, I held it in the highest esteem and felt Reiki was something one uses only in therapeutic settings. What I mean by that is I treated Reiki as though it was separate from me, the person. Clearly, I revered its divinely guided intelligence; yet, I seldom called upon it, unless it was for someone else’s benefit. I rarely, if ever, thought about using Reiki on a daily basis like people do with prayer, mantras, chanting or meditation.

I was virtually clueless as to how to apply Reiki using it as a spiritual tool. I did not realize that its powerful, cosmic energy could be exceptional in helping myself, my plants, my pets, my children or even my vehicles flourish.

Presently for me, Reiki Energy is like an American Express™ card: I never leave home without it. Reiki is an extension of me and has become an aspect of me in many ways. As time has passed, my energy signature has intertwined with Reiki, much like those model strands of DNA we see in science journals. Reiki energy is the powerful, gentle wizard of wellness that I carry close to my heart and soul. It’s my half-full glass of Life giving water, my lush and loving oasis in the arid, scorching desert of Life.

Reiki Evolution

How did it happen that Reiki became one of the Life saving devices I cling to on a daily basis, much like the Supreme Intelligence (God) and spirituality? How did Reiki become my companion, colleague and caregiver ~ what I like to call the 3C’s? When I was initially attuned in the 1STand 2ND degrees of Usui Shiki Ryoho, my Reiki Sensei explained Reiki energy and it’s origins to me thoroughly.

Each Energy Center in our body correlates with
specific organs & functions
I learned about its powerful essence and was Attuned in Reiki in the old method, which is to say very little information was written down for me. My lessons were mostly ‘word of mouth’, although my Sensei did provide us with her version of ‘Cliff Notes’, which helped me immensely when I energy more frequently.
began to work with the

I sought other Reiki practitioners in my area, but at the time they were few and far between in a small town in Maine. When I did meet others with whom I could share Reiki, we’d meet once or twice with big ideas and plans to ‘start a community support group for Reiki practitioners’. Our ideas, like our meetings, dwindled over time what with Life happening all around us. I was a single mother raising my preteen children virtually alone. I also worked full time as a mental health practitioner. Free time was a luxury that at that point in my Life felt light years away.

Today, over twenty years later, my connection with Reiki healing energy is the anchor that keeps me connected to Mother Earth as I explore higher realms of Consciousness. Today, the Reiki Principles apply wholly to my every day Life. Reiki keeps me grounded and connected to Mother Earth. I’m eternally grateful that Reiki sought me out in this incarnation and connected once again with my soul.

Bright Reiki Blessings to All!

Meditation & Reiki: A Winning Combination

This article was first published on the web at this link: Reiki Rays

Preparing for Meditation
Meditation connects you to the Cosmos

Humans tend to over-think, over-analyze, over-process and over-exaggerate. It's an affliction of the mind, the ego. The ego is constantly threatened with annihilation, so it clings to conditioned thinking with a ferocious, white-knuckled grip. It's not easy to let go of all the extraneous garbage that clogs up our mindscape and sometimes renders us immobile, because fear (anxiety) is debilitating if we allow it to be. Meditation helps us to quiet the mind

Perhaps it will take a bit of time for the quieting of our mind to come about. Prior to any meditation session, it’s helpful to calm yourself with Reiki energy first. Now that I’ve obtained the Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki Master certification, I use the powerful Kriya. But previously, I always used CKR to prepare for my meditation session.

When going into a meditative session, ego will attempt to disrupt us at times by creating agitation and unease. Simply allow your thoughts to come in without judging them or giving them an audience. Allow the thoughts to come in, acknowledge the thought and don't give the thought any more time or energy than that. If it seems your mind is running away with thoughts, bring your attention back to your breathing.

Quieting the Mind

Allow your thoughts to flow in & out without judgement

Focus on each inhalation of breath deep into the lungs, as well as each exhalation through up and through your lips. Calm and relaxed. Calm and relaxed. In that way, your mind becomes quiet one thought at a time. There are other ways to quiet the mind, as well, but the preceding explanation is simple and effective.

Meditation can be taught to your clients who have anxiety issues, bipolar disorder, PTSD and other mental health issues. Meditation helps us to relax, to expand our consciousness, and to ease unwarranted fears and anxieties. It's a most effective remedy for those who are interested in quieting their minds naturally without using drugs, chemicals or any other extraneous or unhealthy methods.

Meditation, when practiced regularly, can change anyone’s Life dramatically. If you're a non-believer, one who thinks he or she cannot meditate or who thinks you cannot let go of anxiety without the use of pills, chemicals or other unhealthy means, continue doing what you've been doing, by all means.

When you're tired of living as you have been, beating your head against the brick wall over and over and expecting different results ~ perhaps you'll seek out a person who can help you learn to meditate effectively.

Meditation has changed my Life exponentially. It can change anyone’s Life for the better when practiced regularly. Try it. You've got nothing to lose ~ except your fears, anxieties and agitation.

FAMILY SIN: How Reiki Helped Heal My Life

Greetings my Light-Filled Friends!

My book, "FAMILY SIN: How Reiki Helped Heal My Life" is currently in the 'design' stages of production and I couldn't be more excited! It's the first book I've written and it's due to be published sometime in the Spring 2018. This has been a long process for me, but I'm excited and looking forward to sharing my story with all of you. My hope is that if my story helps just one person navigate their own past traumas and discover peace within themselves it will have been worth every moment I've spent writing it.

I'm going to share excerpts with you here on my blog every week. This week, we'll begin with the first chapter. It's entitled "Growing Pains"

From Chapter ONE: "Growing Pains"
When I was about seven years old my parents rented a camp on Unity Pond in Burnham for the summer. The Sixties was an era when women were beginning to flex their ‘independence’ muscles and I was certainly no exception. My older brother has eighteen months on me and my younger brother is only thirteen months younger. It has always been my inherent duty to keep up with them, therefore; it wasn’t surprising to see me outside playing baseball, kickball, football and climbing trees as well as either of my brothers or any of the other boys in the neighborhood.
One day out at camp I concocted an idea with my younger brother. I thought it was imperative that I climb to the ‘crow’s nest’ of a huge pine tree adjacent to our camp. The ‘crow’s nest’ was a term my brother’s used to describe the pinnacle of a tree where four branches meet to form a little ‘seat’. Me and my bright ideas!

My younger brother and I bantered about who could climb the highest and naturally being a year older than he was, I had to show him that I had it in the bag. Hands down! My seven year-old hands grasped the bottom branch, sticky sap and all. I hoisted myself up onto the first branch and began climbing with confidence and ease. I’d climbed so many trees that this seemed as though it would be a piece of cake. I ascended up and through the heavy foliage of that huge pine tree, dropping a pinecone every now and then as I zipped ever upward. Once, I stopped and watched as a pinecone bounced from one branch to another, making its descent to the pine needle-covered ground below. My brother was lagging significantly behind me.

I could see the lake from my vantage point in that magnificent tree. I noticed that the water had suddenly become angry and choppy. The wind started to pick up, cunningly surprising me with its abrupt ferocity. When I glanced up toward the sky, it appeared ominous and threatening. In my child’s mind I imagined Mother Nature looking down disapprovingly at me, a tiny speck in a huge pine tree.
The branches where I was perched, knuckles white with exertion from holding tightly were swaying to and fro in the wind. Without warning, I was laden with fear as thick and sticky as the sap that oozed from the branches I clung to.
“Mack!” I called out weakly, shakily. “Mack, go down! Go down and get Daddy! Please! Pleeeaaassseee!”

I was literally frozen in fear. I was stuck. I couldn’t climb down and I couldn’t climb up any further. The ‘crow’s nest’ was completely forgotten, a wisp of memory too vague to care about. I remained glued to that branch, clinging tightly like a burr to a wool sock. Presently, my father appeared far below me with my little brother. He called up to me to start climbing down and it was precisely at that moment that a dam of tears burst forth.
“I caaaannnn’t!” I wailed, woefully. My eyes were instantly blinded with salty lakes and my heart was filled with dread. I was blubbering as only a seven year-old can when she’s up against the obstacle of her Lifetime. Dad ended up having to climb the tree to fetch me and carry me down to safety. He admonished me for climbing the tree in the first place and made me promise not to attempt to climb it again.

Oh, no worries, Daddy dear. THAT won’t be happening again anytime soon!
Moments after my feet made contact with the ground, a loud crack of thunder threatened to split my eardrums. My brother and I dashed toward camp, squealing gleefully as the first drops of rain began pummeling us. Dad wasn’t very far behind.
I’d never been so frightened in my Life during the elusive climb to the ‘crow’s nest’ at the top of that pine tree. I never attempted to climb up to the crow’s nest of another tree, either. Not since that day, as I live and breathe. Reminiscing about it, however frightening it was to me as a small child, brings a faint smile to my lips.

And today, I’m allowing those smiles to linger much longer than I ever did in previous years. Despite the dark shadows that hung over me during the first part of my early Life; I have some fond memories from childhood. And that proves to me that every cloud clearly does have a silver lining.

Letting Go Doesn't Mean Giving Up or Forgetting ...

Light

I'm changing how I think and therefore it changes ...

... how I feel about any given situation. Sure, I get frustrated and angry (when my Ego fears loss of illusory control), but I remain aware of how unhealthy it is to hold on to anger. When I spread kindness and love towards others, I am aware that I'm living within my spiritual parameters. When I humbly apologize for my part in the psychodramas that occur in some of my daily Life situations, I'm letting go of the hurt, the pain and the reasons behind why I reacted in the first place.

Let it go! Holding on isn't our 'friend' nor does it add up to positive living or a positive outlook ~ holding on tightly creates a type of resistance that over time can damage our cells or organs. When there is an imbalance in the energetic body (aura), over time it will wear down the emotional/mental body and eventually the physical. That kind of toxicity needs to be transmuted (changed). The toxicity can be transmuted  through a process that brings the toxicity ~ the strong feelings/emotions that are attached to specific situations from your past ~ to the surface of our subconscious minds where all can be healed. There are so many instances that tend to trigger the specific emotional reactions that are attached to past experiences. It's important to identify and let go of those toxicities.

We Create That Which We Surround Ourselves With

If I hold on to anger and/or resentment, I'm allowing the behaviors of others to control my emotions and, indeed, my entire emotional/spiritual Life. If I hold on to anger and/or resentments, I'm allowing toxicity to fester within my energetic body ~ my Light Body ~ my spiritual aura, where it will eventually wreak havoc on my cells and organs. Our toxic emotions create energies in the matrix of Life ~ energies that are less than filled with Light, opaque and muddy, dark and chaotic ~ and those energies can only be transmuted when they're exposed to the Light of Consciousness.

This is the main reason that forgiveness is paramount if one is to live a spiritual Life. Not only forgiveness of others, but even more importantly forgiveness of our own Self.  If we hold on to resentments towards others whom we perrcieve have hurt us in some way, we are not hurting that person in the least. We are simply hurting our own spirits and stunting our own spiritual growth. How can we move past the obstacles of anger, fear, or resentment if we haven't yet learned to let go of those emotions and completely forgive?

Letting Go

This post is about letting go. Some people are under the false assumption that letting go means 'forgetting' or 'putting an end to something or someone'. For instance, a friend of mine thought when I was discussing letting go of my Soulmate who had just transitioned from this Life that it meant I was going to part with everything he'd ever meant to me and/or forget about him completely. Letting go does not mean giving up or giving away.

Letting go is a mental process ~ for me, it means letting go of illusions surrounding a situation. Letting go is a process, but it's not something that renders the situation or person we're letting go of invisible. Au contraire! There is a certain inner strength with letting go of something that no longer serves our highest good. When I let go of a person after they've passed, I'm letting go of the sadness, the grief, any resentments that were attached to situations involving that person. There's an inner strength in learning to let go ~ of outcomes, situations, feelings. Simply allowing things to BE is a form of letting go. In allowing the present moment to BE, we are letting go of desired outcomes and 'going with the flow' so to speak.

I think we all can learn to let go of the things that no longer serve our highest good.

Opening to Christ-Conscious Energies

What does the word "Christ" mean?

The Meaning of Christ

Christ. I was taught in my own Christian upbringing that Christ means 'light'. I was taught that Christ was Light. Jesus was His first name. Christ was His surname. That's okay.

I was taught that an aura (the sometimes visible to the naked eye glow or lightness surrounding living things) is called a 'halo'. Imagine my surprise and slight embarrassment when, many years down the road I pointed out to one of my spiritual teachers that the people in the painting we were marveling at had 'halos' around their heads.

Kayla chuckled quietly and without judgment. And responded with this:

"Well, they're like halos ~ they represent the individuals' aura. His or her essence or Soul."

The word Christ comes from the Greek word "christos" meaning 'anointed one'. If you follow the link placed below the photograph to the left, you can read the entire explanation from a Christian viewpoint. (Naturally, there are many other perspectives on this concept, but I'm offering the Christian perspective, because that's the one I'm most familiar with.)

The concept of a Messiah, an Anointed One, a Savior, if you will is not exclusive to Christianity, either. Many religious philosophies teach that an enlightened being, a Master of sorts, will bring Light, Love and Consciousness to a world being manifested through chaos, greed and desperation. Why did I choose the words 'being manifested' in the previous sentence? Because that is exactly what the world around us is. Each of us creates our own existence with our thoughts and our conditioned and non-conditioned beliefs. What are the differences between conditioned and non-conditioned beliefs, you inquire? Let me explain, in a nutshell.

Conditioned Beliefs

Conditioned beliefs are the ones we grew up believing. because our experiences, parents, teachers, society as a whole ~ believed those conditioned beliefs wholeheartedly and in turn, we took them on through the process of osmosis. Their beliefs were placed upon us as we merged with society's way of believing and thinking about certain things and situations. Conditioned beliefs can be changed, like all beliefs, as we become more emotionally intelligent and mature.

Non-Conditioned Beliefs

Non-conditioned beliefs are those beliefs we've picked up along our path in Life that we hold dear. These beliefs are usually of our own making, our own perceptions of the things we've experienced on our individual paths. Non-conditioned beliefs can also be changed as we grow and mature, spiritually.
Christ Consciousness revealed ...

The Moment of Awakening

At the precise moment of awakening, the moment in the morning right before you open your eyes to start your day, there is a source of power in that particular moment that needs to be utilized. It is in that precise auspicious moment when you have the innate power to create your entire day. You can create a wonderful experience to build upon or you can create a chaotic mess. It is truly up to you.

At that precise moment when you awaken, tap into the collective Christ-consciousness ~ the awakened Light, the anointed One, Unconditional Love ~ and speak your power, your truth. "My day is filled with surprises, miracles and love!" or, alternatively, "This is gonna be a great day!" If you choose a less optimistic path, you could say: "This day is gonna suck!" But would you really want to start your day built upon that statement?

Simple words, whether or not you believe them in the moment, can create your day to be wonderful ~ or not. When a person awakens with bitterness, sadness, anger, resentments or conflicts on his or her heart and soul, he or she creates a cesspool of misaligned energies rather than clear, balanced powerful lightness. Sometimes, like during the grieving process of a loved one's passing, we don't even wish to awaken with joy, love and awareness. It's okay. We're human beings. We need to allow ourselves time for grief, just as we need to allow ourselves time to rejoice. If we didn't have misaligned energies in this existence, we'd not have balanced energies, either. It truly takes one reality to know the other.

Christ-Consciousness & Other Energies

If we find a need to label the energies ~ good or bad, negative or positive, dark or light ~ we aren't allowing the energies to simply BE, to simply exist. We're attempting to categorize, control and manipulate, to package and wrap it all up in a neat and tidy box. Like the simply physics rule, energy can neither be created or destroyed ~ it's physics. Energy simply IS. Christ-Conscious energy is highly vibrational, spirited (no pun intended) energy that sizzles with excitement and Life force. We are all privy to this perfect energy, the high vibrations of Christ-Conscious Energy ~ there is no need for us to do or say anything, the energy is available to anyone at anytime. There are simple exercises we can do to connect with the Christ-Consciousness that is currently infiltrating and surrounding Mother Earth. I'll outline one now ...
Meditate on the Light

Simple Meditation to Open to Christ~Energy

Simply sit in a comfortable position with feet flat on the floor. You can light a candle, incense, anything that might help you to attain a relaxed state of mind. Relax into your body, focus on your breathing. With every intake of breath, count to three slowly. With every outtake of breath, count to three slowly. Become one with your breathing and no matter what thoughts come into your head simply allow them to be. Notice the thoughts, but don't focus on the them  ~  simply let them hover there ~ just observe. Continue focusing on your breath.

Imagine your Crown Chakra at the top of your head: It's glowing, pulsating White Light (the color of the Crown Chakra is associated with White) reaching ever upward to connect with the Creator's Light. Imagine the White Light, the Golden Shower of God's Light hands pouring down from the heaven's and into your Crown Chakra. Imagine the Light of the Creator, the Universe pouring steadily and freely into your Crown Chakra and filling your very physical form with Light and Lightness. Imagine the White Light of the Creator aligning itself to your other Chakras, straight through from Crown to Root Chakra, connecting and aligning your Chakras with its powerful healing light.

These are the Christed Energies ~ the Christ Consciousness. Let your physical form be filled to overflowing with the bright, white light of God. Revel in that Light for however long you can hold it within. Let the Light permeate every cell, every neuron, every fiber of your entire Being. Sit quietly with the Light until your Consciousness feels it's time to come back to reality.

When you complete this meditation, ground yourself by holding a chunk of hematite in your left hand and/or putting a tiny bit of salt on your tongue. Grounding your energy back to Mother Earth after mediation is important. If you're feeling dizzy or lightheaded from this meditation, don't be concerned. It happens and isn't anything to be concerned about.

Conclusion

If you practice the preceding meditation as often as possible (try daily for 10 minutes at first and then increase if you wish) your physical form will begin to open to the Christed energies. These Light energies are powerful and Life changing! Don't be surprised when people and situations around you begin to change and sometimes fade out of your Life permanently ~ things and people that no longer support your continued growth and expansion will begin to fade away and you will begin to feel more connected to humanity than ever before. Opening to Christ Consciousness is an ever-changing, ever-expanding process that once set into motion will not cease ~ it continues on ...
